Terms

Launch Buddies Story Studio is developed and owned by MyKey Consulting Services LLC, based in Bothell, Washington. It is a program tool of MyKey Consulting Services LLC for Launch Buddies Media, a program of MyKey Consulting Services LLC. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean MyKey Consulting Services LLC. By using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

Facilitators sign in and work side by side with each Buddy. Buddies do not have their own accounts. Anyone can use the Try It demo, which saves nothing. Facilitators are given access by MyKey Consulting Services LLC.

The app helps young adults in Launch Buddies Media plan, write and share their own stories in their own words, with a facilitator.

• It is not a school, and it is not therapy, counseling, or a vocational rehabilitation service.
• It does not replace an IEP team, a transition plan, a vocational rehabilitation counselor, or advice from a qualified professional.
• The reading level check is a rough guide only.
• We do not promise that using the app will lead to any particular result.

Do not use the app to get help in an emergency. If someone is in danger, call 911.

A Buddy's answers, scripts, stories and videos belong to that Buddy. They are shared only with permission. Nothing is published until a facilitator has marked the Buddy's photo and video release as signed, and, for a Buddy under 18, the parent or guardian release too. The publishing itself is done by a facilitator.

Smart ideas and the Launch Coach are optional helpers. They may be wrong or unhelpful, so a person always decides what to use. They never write a Buddy's script or story. Smart ideas suggests titles, descriptions and tags only when someone taps the button. See the Privacy page for what is sent and where.

The app is free for Launch Buddies. Nothing is sold inside it.

You agree not to use the app to break the law, to harm or embarrass anyone, or to share someone's private information, and not to try to break, overload, copy or take apart the app. YouTube has its own rules, and published videos must follow them.

The app belongs to MyKey Consulting Services LLC, including its design, text, story questions, artwork and names. You may use them for Launch Buddies work. Please do not copy, sell or republish them without our written permission.

If you believe something in the app or a Launch Buddies video copies your work, email hello@mykeyplans.com with your name and contact details, the work you believe was copied, where it appears, and a statement that you are the owner or act for the owner. We will look into it promptly and remove content where that is right.

We want this app to work for everyone. Our Accessibility page explains what we do and how to tell us about a barrier.

We provide the app "as is" and "as available", without promises that it is complete, correct, current, or always available. Read aloud and Speak my answer depend on the device and browser and may not always work.

To the fullest extent the law allows, MyKey Consulting Services LLC is not responsible for lost work, or for indirect or incidental losses that come from using the app. Our total liability for any claim about the app is limited to $100. Some places do not allow some of these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here and change the date at the top. If you keep using the app after a change, you agree to the new terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington.
